Workin' and Wearin' Wednesday

This dress. I am in love. It's such an amazing feeling to have people complement my dress all the while knowing it's ALL ME, BABY. I have some kinks to work out in the shoulders and sleeves still, but I think I'm getting the hang of it!

(These are also some pretty good shots of my pink and purple hair!)

I goofed on the zipper, so I can't actually pull it over my manikin's shoulders. Oops!

Mmm, wrinkly sleeve.

The zipper was a TOTAL pain! But it was so wonderful to finish because I was like HECK YEAH ZIPPER. Take that! The compliments from my mother and grandmother made everything worth it.

And the pleats! I had so much fun with them.

Totally not dress related, but I made the innards of this locket! Which was a loving gift from my doting grandmother. We had a good time together when I was showing off my dress to her, she regaled me with the tales of her youth and her sewing blunders (because we made the same mistakes!) and just so many wonderful stories.

And truth be told, the internet was acting up something feirce (hence the lateness of this post!) and so, in the mean time I devcided to go cut some fabric for my next dress, and not only did that but sewed the entire bpdice togteher! I might have gotten a bit carried away... C'est la vie!

Workin' Wednesday: Working on all the things!

I'd just like to take a moment and throw it out there that I really only did a Workin' Wednesday in what I assumed (and you know what they say about assuming) would be a failed attempt to keep myself motivated and creating. Golly how wrong I was! Despite having my hours hiked at work along with nermersou things going on at home- I've managed to stay more productive than ever. So, thank you all for reading and help keeping me motivated!

The sweater clip I made out of Robin's Teeth! I love them so! I'm wearing them right now, with an actual sweater, even! (:

Finished commission I did, I just wanted to show off the gold in her Halo!

Something I made for me! I also hand painted the frame, for extra nerd (awesome) points!

All of these brooches are on sale on Etsy!!

And I've never really gotten around to uploading these two, they were part of a series I've been working on for awhile now, more on them soon!

I have so many other projects I'm working on as wll, being so productive is really so exiting!

Workin' Wednesday: All that nonsense.

I've been keeping so busy this past week! I pretty much hide out in my studio (which grant it, is my room) but I've been making a gratuitous amount of things for etsy, and yesterday I made a stop at our local craft store to get some help with my resin necklaces- I've lost a good few to the resin getting under the tape and into the painting. Which is so sad, because you watch it slowly happen and you know all the hard work that was done is now wasted. So we did some trouble shooting, and hopefully all the glitches will be taken care of now!

These are some snake-skin necklaces and earings, along with some wish necklaces that you can now find on my etsy! You can also find the necklaces below on etsy!

You can't really tell from the picture, but the leaves under the owl are all golden-like!

I'm also brewing up some new embrodiery for etsy! I've got a few more mentally planned out, I just don't want to take on too many! The blue is a new marker that dissapears with water, it's kinda cool to watch.

I finally added some watercolours to my tattoo idea!
One day, one day...

That's all for now, so I suppose it's back to work for me!

Workin' Wednesday: Sketchbook work galore!

I decided to finally kick my art block in the patoot and get on with some drawing!  I was telling my mom about how I was trying something new and drawing girls heads with nature entwined with the idea, and she laughed and pointed out that I do that sort of thing all the time. It's true! But I promise these are different that what I usually draw! I think....

This one is going to be finished and framed and the put up on etsy!

The cover is still unfinished, but I figure I have awhile before I fill this guy and it needs to actually be finished.

And this last one is a goofy card I made for my super swell dude.
But seriously, white chocolate is gross.

The plan is to keep up with all this drawing and try to get at least five small drawings done each week!
