Workin' Wednesday: Working on all the things!

I'd just like to take a moment and throw it out there that I really only did a Workin' Wednesday in what I assumed (and you know what they say about assuming) would be a failed attempt to keep myself motivated and creating. Golly how wrong I was! Despite having my hours hiked at work along with nermersou things going on at home- I've managed to stay more productive than ever. So, thank you all for reading and help keeping me motivated!

The sweater clip I made out of Robin's Teeth! I love them so! I'm wearing them right now, with an actual sweater, even! (:

Finished commission I did, I just wanted to show off the gold in her Halo!

Something I made for me! I also hand painted the frame, for extra nerd (awesome) points!

All of these brooches are on sale on Etsy!!

And I've never really gotten around to uploading these two, they were part of a series I've been working on for awhile now, more on them soon!

I have so many other projects I'm working on as wll, being so productive is really so exiting!

Workin' Wednesday: All that nonsense.

I've been keeping so busy this past week! I pretty much hide out in my studio (which grant it, is my room) but I've been making a gratuitous amount of things for etsy, and yesterday I made a stop at our local craft store to get some help with my resin necklaces- I've lost a good few to the resin getting under the tape and into the painting. Which is so sad, because you watch it slowly happen and you know all the hard work that was done is now wasted. So we did some trouble shooting, and hopefully all the glitches will be taken care of now!

These are some snake-skin necklaces and earings, along with some wish necklaces that you can now find on my etsy! You can also find the necklaces below on etsy!

You can't really tell from the picture, but the leaves under the owl are all golden-like!

I'm also brewing up some new embrodiery for etsy! I've got a few more mentally planned out, I just don't want to take on too many! The blue is a new marker that dissapears with water, it's kinda cool to watch.

I finally added some watercolours to my tattoo idea!
One day, one day...

That's all for now, so I suppose it's back to work for me!

A Workin' Wednesday

I've been spending a great deal of my spare hours working on a new dress! As my mother likes to tell me, when it comes to creating things I'm "constantly trying to reinvent the wheel!" I just have so much fun figuring out how things work all on my own without having instructions, I guess it makes things seem more like an adventure and are then all these things are made of my own invention. It comes with it's trouble, like me having to pull so many stitches until I figure things out and finally get them right (after a few too many tries...) But ever onward! Here are some snapshots of the dress to be, and one of a new embroidery piece!

One of my favorite quotes from Where The Wild Things Are.

I figured out my pattern using some parchment paper, it took a good few tries to get everything right!

And now, I'm going to get back to sewing it!

Saturday in the Studio

I went shopping.

I bought myself an adorable (reusable shopping) bag.

That was filled with delightful goodies!

Five hoops and three different colours of embroidery thread, plus three different fabrics that I'll be making into dresses. I'll of course be blogging about my dress making exploits because I won't be using a pattern, per usual. And naturally, I'll be posting my embroidery to here as well! Depending on how things with those little guys go, I may start posting them on etsy! If you look carefully in the photo, you can see some of the new Jewelry I'm working on, and shamefully neglecting to work on. I've just been so frustrated with messing up on those little paintings and having to start all over again. But soon, soon. Also, you can see my goal list that I got from the oh-so-wonderful Rachel at Cornflower Blue Studio! There's a little DIY list on the side of her blog that I really recommend you check out!

Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

A little lovely embroidery

This is what I was up to yesterday when I was supposed to be working on a lot of other things! But in the end, I suppose procrastinating working on art with other art isn't all that bad. I had so much fun doing this, it was the first time I've ever done embroidery. Of course I did it free hand because I like to make things difficult on myself. I did base it on a drawing I made in my sketchbook a few months back which you can see here! I had dreams of screen printing the design, but have yet to sit down and actually figure out how to do that...

I already have another design worked out in my head, so I just need to get another hoop and some blue thread! I really should finish my next batch of jewelry first. Not only will there be more necklaces, I'll have earings, rings and even cuff-links up for sale on my etsy. I'm also working on a larger painting, and of course my story as well. With that said, I should probably get back to painting!
